BABINGTON HOUSE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER – SOHO HOUSE

Welcome back to the blog. I can’t wait to show you this summer Babington House Wedding I had the pleasure of photographing last July at one of my favourite countryside wedding venues in the UK, Babington House.

Let me begin by saying that I love working at Soho House (last year I had the opportunity of photographing an epic wedding at Aynhoe Park and Soho Farmhouse which was featured on the incredible Harper’s Bazaar US), and Babington House is, without a doubt, one of the most exclusive wedding venues in the UK, perfect for a relaxed and romantic wedding day.

The venue really has it all: a Grade II listed Georgian manor house set on 18 acres of grounds, a SPA, a fishing lake, tennis courts, swimming pool and an incredible range of food and drinks to enjoy during your stay.

Stephanie and Michael’s destination wedding was a romantic affair. Stephanie, the beautiful bride, is originally from Argentina, while Michael, the groom, is a proud New Yorker. I absolutely loved their fun and relaxed personalities and getting to know them and their families over their two-day wedding celebration.

Babington House was the ideal setting for this Jewish destination wedding, and, as a London wedding photographer, I couldn’t be more overjoyed with the location and setting.

Their summer outdoor wedding was a fabulous blend of outdoorsy fun, classic traditional elements and a great party to seal the festivities with 100 of their closest friends and family members who travelled from all around the world to celebrate with the lovely bride and groom.

The day before the wedding, the bridal couple threw an amazing pool party that allowed the guests to unwind and laze around in the sun. After the pool party, the guests sat down for an incredible BBQ in the beautiful gardens of Babington House.

Stephanie & Michael really wanted to make the most of their weekend abroad and hired Babington House exclusively, which meant that the couple and all the guests could truly enjoy the beautiful grounds without any interruptions.

The day after the BBQ, the couple and their guests had their beautiful outdoor wedding day.  Luckily, both days were blessed with an abundance of sunshine and this London Wedding Photographer was indeed very happy. You know how much I love natural light photography :)

What truly surprises me is that the couple has no connection to the United Kingdom and had never even visited the venue before. All the bookings were made online a few months in advance, and yet, their entire weekend was planned to perfection and it was the perfect combination of Stephanie & Michael fun and laid back personalities.

Just before the ceremony, the couple had a quick first look away from all their guests, it was such a sweet moment to capture, I always love seeing the groom’s reaction. Babington House is hands down the perfect wedding venue and I was overjoyed by the abundance of beautiful photography backdrops it provided.

Right after their first look, it was time for their jewish wedding ceremony.

Stephanie emerged in a gorgeous dress by Monique Lhuillier paired with blue Manolo Blahhik heels and Mike just couldn’t take his eyes off his stunning bride. I loved working with Abigail and Eleanor, the talented artists behind the bride’s natural hair and make up look.

There were so much tears and laughters during their ceremony and especially while the couple exchanged their vows. I absolutely adored the wedding color palette, which comprised of blue, the 2020 Pantone color of the year, green, white and hints of light blue.

The incredible chuppah, an exquisite canopy filled with flowers, was created by Flowers by Passion and it was the perfect frame for our romantic wedding and family portraits that were taken shortly after the ceremony.

I absolutely adored working with Stephanie and Michael and their lovely guests.

After the ceremony, it was time for cocktails and canapés in the gardens surrounding Babington House before myself and the talented videographers at HD Moments (take a look at their amazing highlight video below!) took the couple away for some sunset wedding portraits around the wedding venue. The light was just incredible and we could not miss the opportunity of creating some romantic wedding portraits for them :)

Right after our dreamy wedding portraits, the newlyweds made their entrance to a joy-filled reception where the couple and their families exchanged beautiful, heart-touching speeches.

As a Babington House wedding photographer, I was absolutely over the moon to be able to capture such beauty and charm. Their candle lit reception and charming ambience created an idyllic setting for photography.

After dinner, we all moved outside for the cake cutting before returning indoor where the real party began and went on with endless dancing until the very early hours of the morning.

I hope you will enjoy Stephanie & Mike’s summer countryside wedding below ;)
