Claire and Jason’s wedding at Villa Bonomi on the shores of Lake Como was more than a celebration—it was a three-day experience that perfectly reflected their global lives and love for blending cultures. Based in Hong Kong, the couple brought together family and friends from all over the world for an unforgettable celebration in Italy.

The festivities began with an Asian-inspired pre-wedding gathering, where the villa was transformed with handwoven textiles, bonsai trees, water plants, floating candles, and ornamental bowls filled with Japanese fish. It was an elegant nod to their appreciation of Eastern traditions, beautifully balanced with the flavors and warmth of Italy.

On the wedding day, the atmosphere shifted to evoke the nostalgic elegance of an Italian home in the 1980s. The ceremony was intimate and soulful, with guests encircling the couple among antique books, pastel-toned vintage china, and handmade Italian biscuits. It felt like a family gathering, personal and heartfelt.

The design narrative continued into cocktail hour and dinner. A spectacular imperial table was styled in an unexpected way: lush florals intertwined with tiers of Italian pastries, hand-painted plates inscribed with Mangio, bevo e mi sposo (“I eat, I drink, I marry”), and delicate name tags scripted onto fine Italian chocolates. As the lights of Como twinkled below, the setting became nothing short of magical.

Claire looked stunning throughout the day, changing from her Alex Perry gown for the ceremony into two exquisite Danielle Frankel dresses for the evening reception and party.
