A LOOK BACK AT 2016

I can’t believe we’re into March already. 2017 has definitely started at full speed! More of that later in this post but I’m going to start with a look back at 2016. As a destination wedding photographer, it’s no surprise that I was travelling for a LOT of the year but there were also London weddings and styled shoots to photograph too. Here are just a few of my highlights…

In February 2016, I was absolutely thrilled to see one of my images on the COVER of Wedding Ideas magazine. This meant so much to me because the images were taken in my beloved Italy, in the gorgeous Marche region. Soon after this, I started a series on the blog – Advice for the Romantic Bride – and I know that lots of readers have found this an incredibly useful resource. Do take a look!

I just love working as a London wedding photographer and it was a pleasure to share this London wedding at The Connaught. It was an intimate and personal occasion with a stylish black-tie dress code. Heaven! I also have to mention this sunrise anniversary shoot in London, which was a total surprise for husband Luca. His wife, Monica had secretly arranged everything in advance. How utterly brilliant!

Of course I spent a lot of time overseas (well, you wouldn’t expect anything else from a destination wedding photographer would you?!). This pre-wedding photography session in Tuscany at Villa Medicea di Lilliano redefined beautiful. I was also overjoyed to be the chosen Italian wedding photographer for this gorgeous Finnish destination wedding at Villa Lattanzi in Le Marche. Another favourite has to be this English destination wedding in Italy at Tenuata le Cave. Samara and Kevin held their ceremony in a stunning vineyard – the stuff of Italian wedding dreams…

There were also weddings in Greece (coming soon to the blog!) and inspiration shoots in London including this fabulous shoot at The Corinthia. I’m also very proud of this London wedding inspiration shoot at Firmdale Hotel Number 16. I still can’t quite believe that these images were shared on the famous Ruffled blog AND Green Wedding Shoes – wow!

Wedding photography and styled shoots aside, I’m also incredibly proud to say that in 2016 I started freelancing as an event photographer for my favourite bridal magazine. I can’t believe that I’m photographing bridal and beauty events for BRIDES! Not only that but I’ve also been lucky enough to photograph catwalk shows including the amazing Suzanne Neville catwalk at the Rosewood Hotel in London. It’s a photographer’s dream!

If you’d like to take peek at my event photography, I’ve added lots of photos to my new event portfolio here. New events will be coming soon and, of course, I post all my updates on Instagram.

So, as you can imagine, 2016 ended on a very happy note after a year full of wonderful wedding work. 2017 looks just as bright – as you might have noticed, I’ve got a beautifully designed new website and I hope you love it as much as I do.

Of course, there’s much more to come in the next few months. I’m photographing weddings in Greece,  Ireland and St Lucia to name but a few. I’ll be packing my bags and flying out to Italy again soon. Now that’s a phrase to make this Italian wedding photographer smile!

If you’d like to find out more about my destination wedding photography services or if you’re looking for a London wedding photographer, I’m always happy to chat. Do get in touch – I can’t wait to hear all about your wedding plans.

I’m currently accepting bookings for 2017 and 2018 so if my soft and romantic wedding photography appeals to you, then I would be honoured to be part of your wedding.

Don’t forget to take a look at my wedding destinations guides – you’ll find all sorts of information on weddings in Greece, Italy and London too. My galleries are bursting with images to inspire you and I’d love to hear from you on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

Love,

Roberta x
