LONDON WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER – 06 ST CHAD’S PLACE

Hello again and I’m just going to interrupt your day for a moment because I have to share this fantastic London wedding with you. This wedding really has it all – a town hall ceremony, a quirky reception venue and an iconic red London bus. It was a great day to be a London wedding photographer!

Jessi and Greg have to be one of the sweetest couples ever! She’s Australian and he’s English and they’re now together in Australia having started a new life there together. Their London wedding was easy going and fun – the perfect reflection of this lovely couple.

As you might expect, Jessi and Greg’s wedding had a very international flavour with guests coming from all over the world to celebrate with them. It was such a pleasure to be with them as their London wedding photographer.

The wedding ceremony itself took place at Islington Town Hall and wow! What a spectacular venue this is. Not only is it brimming with history, it’s also the most amazing backdrop for wedding photographs.

Jessi looked so stunning in her embellished wedding dress and her statement bouquet was the perfect accompaniment. I’m so pleased that I was able to capture Greg’s reaction when Jessi arrived for the ceremony. By the way do you recognise her bouquet? Jessi took inspiration from this Italian wedding editorial I photographed in Urbino Resort a few years back! So glad that the shoot was of inspiration to my brides.

The confetti shots on the steps outside the town hall are sure to make any London wedding photographer’s heart beat a little faster. Jessi, Greg and all their guests had such fun here and I’m sure that everyone received more than a dusting of confetti!

After a trip on a traditional London bus, we arrived at 06 St Chad’s Place. I totally fell for this one-of-a-kind wedding venue. It’s a fabulous restored Victorian warehouse tucked off a quiet side street in Kings Cross and although it’s a bar and restaurant, it’s available for private hire on weekends.

There were lots of DIY elements included in the day which made it all the more special. But it wasn’t just the bride and groom who’d been crafty. The hand painted stationery came from the groom’s sister and a friend made the delicious wedding cake. I just love details like this at weddings and Jessi and Greg’s London wedding was so memorable.

I also have to mention the music. The ‘Piano Animal’ aka Michael G Moore entertained guests and it’s fair to say that I’m now a super huge fan of his music and I’m looking forward to dance to his music at a future event. The things you discover when you’re a London wedding photographer!

If I could sum Jessi and Greg’s London wedding up in one word, it would be ‘joyful’. All the happy, smiling, laughing guests had the best day with a couple that they all clearly love very much. Greg even played and singed a rock song he wrote for Jessi.

I love photographing weddings in London and would be thrilled to be your London wedding photographer. If you’d like to find out more about my services, check availability for your wedding date or just chat about your wedding plans, do get in touch.
