LONDON WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER – ST PANCRAS RENAISSANCE HOTEL

Today’s wedding is definitely going to bring some brightness to January!

We’re taking a step back to October last year when I was thrilled to be Vicky & Kim’s London wedding photographer. As you’ll see, their day was full of smiles and I hope you love these images as much as I do.

For me, it’s super important to get to know my couples before their wedding day. I like to spend time building a relationship with everyone I’m going to work with and as soon as I met Vicky and Kim, we instantly hit it off. They’re such a gorgeous, fun couple and I love their plans for their autumnal London wedding.

Vicky’s bridal prep took place at the St Pancras Hotel and it was so great to spend time with Vicky and her Mum and bridesmaids. The pastel colour palette here was just fabulous and as I’m a photographer who loves natural light, I couldn’t have been happier. I also have to mention Vicky’s wonderful makeup and hair– Boe from Botias created a perfect bridal look.

I really love photographing the bride’s preparations, wherever the wedding is taking place. There’s something really special about watching a woman become a bride and for me, it’s an important part of the day to capture. I’ve written about bridal preparation photography before so take a look here if you’d like to find out more!

Anyway, back to the wedding…

Vicky and Kim held their ceremony near Regent’s Park at the Danish church of St. Katherine. Vicky is Danish and so this was a really meaningful touch. Vicky was accompanied her up the aisle by her Mum and the whole ceremony was just perfect in every way.

After some photographs outside the church, the newlyweds stepped into their stunning vintage car and we moved into Regent’s Park for their wedding portraits. Although it was mid-October, we still managed to find some pretty blossoms to use as a backdrop. My location scouting in the few days before the wedding was definitely worth it!

Following a drive around town (and yes, that amazing car attracted plenty of attention!), we arrived back at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel for the wedding reception. Vicky and Kim enjoyed drinks on the terrace with their guests and then went into dinner to continue the celebrations. This was my cue to leave and I made my way home – I really couldn’t have wished for a happier day.

A few weeks after the wedding, I sent Vicky and Kim their images along with a few surprise gifts. The note I received in return made me feel fabulous:

“Roberta, these images are amazing!! Thank you so much, you’ve done a wonderful job and I love them. Thank you so much for the lovely gift you sent and the prints, you’ve picked some lovely ones! I didn’t expect that and I have to say that your service has been outstanding, worth every penny. I’m still going through the online gallery to find my favourites. Thank you again, Vicky and Kim xxx”
