LONDON WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER – THE SAVOY HOTEL

intimate wedding at the savoy hotel in london

When you’re a London wedding photographer, there are some famous venues that you always get excited about. The Savoy is one of these places. It’s such a landmark in London and it’s a simply beautiful location for a classically elegant wedding. Honestly, being a wedding photographer at The Savoy is a dream come true and this wedding was definitely a dream to capture.

I love photographing intimate and romantic weddings and this celebration was definitely both. The exclusive guest list contained just twelve names but the atmosphere all day was just amazing – super fun, so relaxed with lots of joy and happiness all day long.

Before I talk about the wedding itself, let me introduce you to Hans and Louise. This beautiful couple met at work and what a workplace – Louis Vuitton! After their engagement, they chose The Savoy as their wedding venue and planned their London summer wedding.

The ceremony itself took place in the Maria Callas suite at the hotel and you couldn’t wish for a more fantastic setting. This is one of the most impressive suites at The Savoy and the views of the River Thames from the windows were just superb. This stunning space was flooded with natural light, perfect for my style of photography. As a luxury London wedding photographer, I really couldn’t have been happier.

After the ceremony itself, there were drinks, canapés and music in the suite along with plenty of photos. Hans’ family had travelled to London from Taiwan for the wedding and it was such a treat to be able to capture the two families meeting for the first time. Everyone had a fabulous time but Hans had plans for our portrait session…

If The Savoy is one legendary London location, the backdrop of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament has to be another. Add in a black cab and a few double decker buses and you couldn’t have a more evocative setting. Once we returned to The Savoy (for a few more shots outside!), the couple and their guests celebrated with dinner in a private room at The Savoy Grill and after a super memorable day as a London wedding photographer, I made my way home.

So, what did I love about this wedding? Well, just take a look at Louise’s stunning dress. I absolutely fell for the design and the style of this gown and her beautiful bouquet just worked perfectly. Louise’s look was finished with brilliant hair and makeup by Pam from Wedding Makeup & Hair. Really, Louise was the epitome of bridal style.

I also adored the ceremony. The elegant decorations on the fireplace, the beauty of the room, the emotion from the guests and the joy that just radiated from Hans and Louise throughout made it such an incredibly special occasion. And, with the day being so intimate, I felt utterly privileged to have been invited to share it with them all.

Working with couples as their London wedding photographer is always something I enjoy hugely. Whether you need a wedding photographer at The Savoy for your wedding of a luxury London wedding photographer for another venue entirely, I would be overjoyed to hear from you. Do get in touch if you’d like to find out more about my services or check my availability for your date.

Of course, I don’t just work in London and the UK, I’m a destination wedding photographer too. I photograph weddings, engagements and elopements in Italy , Greece and right around the world.
